Drop Off Protocol

Drop offs are at the Bishop-Scheckla Pavilion toward the east end of the park (turn left into the first parking lot); it’s the blue roofed pavilion tucked in among the trees. No early drop offs, and please make sure your camper makes it safely to their group before leaving!

Pick Up Protocol

  • Pickups are at the hill in front of the pavilion.

  • Please use the official Camper Pick Up Cards that were mailed to you. You will need one card for each day. This is for the safety of your child and to comply with Girl Scout guidelines.

  • If you do not have your card you will need to come to Headquarters, located inside the pavilion, and produce ID to prove that you are the authorized adult for your camper.

  • ALL AUTHORIZED ADULTS USING PICK UP CARDS MUST BE LISTED ON THE CAMPER RELEASE SECTION OF THE ONLINE CAMPER REGISTRATION FORM!

  • In the case of an emergency you may contact the camp by phone to authorize an adult who is not on your Camper Release List.

  • Early pick up - if you need to pick up your child early from camp, please let us know in advance and come to Headquarters, located inside the pavilion, to sign your Pick Up Card.

Absences

  • Please don't send your child to camp sick! Call the Day Camp Director by phone and leave a message to let us know that your child will not be at camp that day.

  • If you know in advance that your child will not be attending one or more days, please let us know so that we will know not to expect them.

Medication

  • Camper medications MUST be in their original containers labeled with the camper’s name, the name of the medication and instructions. Meds should be turned into the First Aid station (located inside the pavilion) at the beginning of the day or week and the camper is responsible for picking them up at the end of the day or the end of the week.

  • All medications brought to camp must be listed on the Camper Medication Permission Form at registration.

  • Campers who require inhalers or EPI Pens can carry them with them IF the camper is knowledgeable with their use, has written permission from a parent/guardian, and has confirmed this permission with the First Aid station.

Sunscreen and bug spray

  • Please make sure your child comes to camp with sunscreen applied and carries it with them if they need to reapply more during the day. This needs to be kept in their bag and not shared with other campers due to the possibility of allergies.

  • Insect repellent is generally not needed during the day, but if you must send it please try to use the pump type spray rather than aerosol, and the least scented that you can find.

Allergies and Dietary Concerns

  • Please note any allergies, intolerances and sensitivities in the medical section of the registration form.

  • It is especially important for anyone with food allergies who is staying for the Thursday almost-overnighter to list those so that food accommodations can be made in advance.

  • We do our best to provide choices to meet your child’s dietary restrictions but if you have concerns please ask about our planned menu so you know if you should send specialized food with your camper.

Lost and Found

  • Please label everything with your camper’s name. It is far more likely to be returned if we know who it belongs to!

  • All unlabeled and unclaimed items will be kept for 30 days after camp and then donated.
