About Us

Our History

Trillium Valley Day Camp was started in 2007, when the original Tigard-Tualatin-Metzger-Sherwood Girl Scout “neighborhood” separated along school district lines. Our original day camp, Ti-Tu-Me Wood, became two separate camps - one which met at Champoeg Park and this one, which continued here at Cook Park under our new name, Trillium Valley.

Our Program

We are a Girl Scout day camp, meeting for one week every year in July. Girl Scouts from kindergarten through 12th grade spend the week singing songs, doing crafts, leather working, hiking, playing, and having fun together. We have an annually changing array of theme-appropriate activities, which in the past have included mad science, a reptile exhibit, archery, drum circle, cooking, dragon parade, etc. We are a badge camp, which means that every Daisy, Brownie, and Junior camper will complete the requirements to earn a badge for the front of their vest or sash and will be awarded that badge at the end of camp. Girl Scouts Cadette and above can earn their Leader in Action badge and begin training to become a Program Aide (PA).

Our Themes

Every year our PAs suggest several ideas for the next year’s camp theme and our campers vote for their favorite. Once a theme has been chosen the campers are given the opportunity to design a patch. The design with the most votes becomes the following year’s camp patch. Previous years’ themes have included:

Animal Planet 2006

Island Adventure 2007
